Professional Development for Primary Teachers
Join us for a professional development session during which Primary teachers will be presented with a range of books suitable for use in the classroom or library. Also featuring award-winning author Claire Saxby, who will be presenting on her narrative non-fiction books Iceberg and Tree.

Owner of The Kids' Bookshop and practising Teacher Librarian, Erin Wamala, will be presenting a range of new books suitable for use with the curriculum and for wider reading. From picture books through to novels for upper primary, Erin will give detail about readership and content, matching books to specific types of readers.
Claire Saxby's books fall into three main categories: our wonderful world, history and humour. Claire's work has won several awards including CBCA Picture Book of the Year, CBCA Honour Book, a NSW Premier's Literary Award, a SCBWI Crystal Kite Award, an Environment Award for Children's Literature, an Educational Publishing Award and the Whitley Award multiple times. She is widely curious about just about everything and passionate about encouraging curiosity and wonder.
